I turn around in the dream to see a woman named Carol Davis. I know her from her work on HGTV. I know her from her scrapbooking work. In waking life, I know of no such person being on HGTV. I am also not a scrapbooker in waking life. Scrapbooking as a symbol, for me, would suggest a way of archiving the past (memories). Perhaps a way of making the past look "pretty," which would be a play on the whole HGTV/interior design referencing. She, in turn, recognizes me and my work, specifically the DNV website. I see this as the dream's way of saying that the site is reaching an audience, and this is work that, at some point, may bring me some recognition. I may be reaching people that I know (knowing Carol Davis in the dream), as well as those that I do not (not knowing her in waking life). |
