Dreams and Visions: Dream: A Witch in the 1900s-Page 2

This is a dream from my own journals. I had the dream on
November 25, 2001. It has been one that comes back to my
consciousness now and again, and did so prior to my selecting
a dream for this week's column.
I decided to go with this dream, as it addresses the subject of
past lives. I come from the belief that we reincarnate and live
several lifetimes, for our soul's growth and evolution.
Anytime symbolism appears in a dream that suggests a specific
time period in history, the subject matter may be a past life.
Dreamers may wonder what is the point of having past life
information appear in a dream. My theory on this is that there
is something going on in a dreamer's life that has been
experienced in a previous life, and that is why the information
is coming up in the present. The dreamer may be asked to
handle the present life situation exactly in the same manner as
the past life--or is being given the opportunity to handle the
same situation differently, and in doing so, grows and evolves
spiritually.
If you are reading this, and do not believe in the concept of
past lives, then my suggestion is to view the material as a
reference to your past in this lifetime. In essence, a historical
era or time period would be talking about your own "history."

In my dream, the main character is a witch. Over the course of
time, I actually believe that I was a witch in a past life. Every
now and again, I will continue to dream about witches (most
commonly in the form of the Halliwell sisters from the TV show
"Charmed"). I even had a practicing witch tell me that I beared
what she called "the mark" on the palm of one of my hands. In
this lifetime, however, I am not a witch, but I have been named
an honorary one, through the local Pagan/Wiccan community
in my area.

The other aspect of this dream I didn't consider, until I was
preparing it for the column, was the action of the woman/witch
in the dream.
